Steve Timms assumed the duties of President/CEO of the Houston Golf Association (HGA) and Tournament Director for the Shell Houston Open on January 19, 2001. Timms oversees the day-to-day operations supported by a staff of 12.

Timms first became involved with the HGA in 1991 as a volunteer.  Prior to joining the HGA full time Timms held various Senior level jobs in the oil and gas service industry.
