Speaker - Pamela Lovett

Pamela Lovett is president of the Greater Houston Partnership's Economic Development Division. The Greater Houston Partnership is Houston's leading business organization. Through its Economic Development, Regional Issues, Regional Planning and World Trade divisions, the Partnership develops and implements integrated programs to enhance the business climate, business activity, job creation, economic development and quality of life throughout the Houston region.

The Economic Development division is responsible for marketing and promoting the Houston region for corporate expansions and relocations. Lovett's team has assisted nearly 150 projects in creating over 31,000 direct jobs and generating $7.2 billion in annual economic impact to the region. Site Selection magazine named her team one of the top 10 economic development teams in the country. Lovett is a founding member of the Houston Area Technology Advisory Council and Houston Executive Summit.

Before joining the Partnership, Lovett spent 18 years with AT&T and Lucent Technologies. She began her career with that company as an account executive in 1979 and rose consistently through the ranks. In 1996, she was appointed sales director.

Lovett serves on the board of directors of DePelchin Children's Center and is a member of the Junior League of Houston's Community Advisory Board. She is on the Advisory Boards of the Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center, the Houston Technology Center and is on the board of the North Houston Association. Lovett is the first honorary member of Commercial Real Estate Women Houston, serving on the Program Committee.

Lovett holds a doctorate of jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law. She graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
